Raw Vegan Nettle Cupcakes

Nettles (Stinging Nettles) are high in vitamins A, C, K, calcium, potassium, and immune-boosting iron while helping to alleviate allergy symptoms. Therefore, they are an all around great pregnancy tonic and used in many pregnancy teas such as our very own Tea For Two tea blend. A common spring green, nettles are known for their stinging hairs. Don't let that intimidate you! To avoid getting stung simply wear thick gloves while harvesting and for cooking just steam them or add to hot soup or in this case, a frosting. St Patricks Day Green Smoothie

This is a perfect celebratory drink for St Patricks Day and an excellent source of nutrition for pregnant women and mamas (or anyone really!)  The spinach is high in iron and folate, both so essential in baby-building (aka pregnancy). The pineapple is supportive of digestion, and the orange and lime are packed with Vitamin C.   We hope you enjoy!     Ingredients: 1 orange 1/2 lime, fresh squeezed  1/2 a bunch of parsley 1.5 cups of spinach 1 small bunch of mint leaves (optional) 1 cup of frozen pineapple Directions: Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth!
